UPDATE: Just an FYI for everyone planning on attending this event: We have been getting a lot of calls asking about the glasses available and when we will start passing them out. We wanted to let you know that we will hand out the glasses in two rounds for the event — one round at 11 a.m. and the other at 1 p.m. will be available for people to share at the viewing party. Also, we will be limiting the glasses to one set per family. Thank you!

  1. Solar Eclipse Viewing

    August 21, 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM @ Gilliam

Come join us in viewing the solar eclipse. We have solar glasses & popcorn! On August 21, 2017, a solar eclipse will pass over all 50 United States. The experience will look different depending on where you are located. For us, coverage will be 80% and we will see a crescent. Wherever you are, you never want to look directly at the sun without protection, like eclipse glasses (not sunglasses). The one exception is if you are able to see 100% totality. Only when the moon has fully blocked the sun, you are safe to look at the eclipse directly. Before and after that moment, keep your eyes protected. Events like this are rare. The last total solar eclipse to cross the U.S. coast-to-coast was in 1918, and the next total solar eclipse in the continental U.S. isn’t until 2024. Don’t miss this opportunity to experience a solar eclipse!
