Build a Better World this summer at your library!

Sign up for Summer Reading
We’re gearing up for a fun summer at Shreve Memorial Library. Come enjoy our Summer Reading Program as we host fabulous performers, storytellers, and more. We want to encourage all ages to read, so sign up for our program and get ready for a good time!

This year, we will be hosting a Sign-Up Day at our libraries on Monday, May 22. So come and join us at your favorite branch and get registered for the program. Receive a free bag filled with SRP goodies for each sign-up while supplies last. Belcher-Wyche Branch and Means Branch of Shreve Memorial Library will hold their Summer Reading Sign-Up Day on Tuesday, May 23.

Summer Reading officially starts on June 5 and ends on July 31, and is open to all ages, individuals, and groups.

Once the program goes live, you can also register yourself and your children online at our Beanstack site.

Follow along on our website to see a list of performers and events happening during Summer Reading at Shreve Memorial Library. Performances and activities begin June 5.

Summer Reading Programs

Children’s Program: Children (0-10 years of age) can be signed up as either a non-reader or independent reader. Non-readers must have 5 books read to them, and independent readers need to read 5 books to receive a certificate, a book, and a sticker.

Teen Program: Teens (11-17 years of age) must read two books to receive a certificate, and then will be eligible to win a Barnes and Noble gift card.

Adult Program: Adults (18 years and older) must read two books to receive a “book buck,” which can be used to pay overdue fines. By reading more books, you can earn more “book bucks.”
