Battleground Louisiana: Civil War Events @ H/SC Download as iCal file
Thursday, January 31, 2013, 6:30PM - 8:30PM

Program presenter: Stephen Webre, PhD Department of History, Louisiana Tech University

This reading program in the humanities employs historical works to promote reflection and discussion about Louisiana’s experience in the American Civil War (1861-1865). The subject is of enduring interest, but it is especially timely at this moment, as the nation observes the 150th anniversary of this great internal conflict, which cost more than 600,000 lives and in the process dramatically transformed both the South and the country as a whole.
