Start your trip to Gilliam, LA by getting on Highway #3049 where it intersects Grimmett Drive. By taking Highway #3049 you will be able to see all the Sunflowers that have been planted between Shreveport and Gilliam.
At the Festival there will be craft booths, food, drinks, snacks, local and area artists, entertainment, children's crafts, hands-on-art for children, photography contest, drawing for art by local artist, open house and art display in the Museum and Library.
Take note of the old cotton gin at the corner of Hwy. #3049 and the Sentell Road, visit the Veterans Memorial in Belcher on Gray Street, (Gray Street is also Hwy #3049 - you will pass right by the Memorial), and join fellow travelers at the Wild Petunia Shop on Caddo Street in Belcher for tea-room type fare.
