Just recently the library added video games to its list of available items for checkout. Now, you can check out Nintendo Switch Lite gaming consoles as well as games for the Nintendo Switch from any Shreve Memorial Library.
So what is a Nintendo Switch Lite? Well, a Nintendo Switch Lite is a lightweight, handheld gaming console (much like the Gameboys we, or at least I, used to play with in the 90s). The consoles are designed for gaming on the go, and children, teens and adults can enjoy playing some of their favorite video games in the palm of their hand. Currently, Shreve Memorial Library has a variety of fan-favorite games such as Pokémon, Pac-Man, NBA 2K23, Minecraft, Kirby, Among Us, Assassin’s Creed, and more available for checkout.
Nintendo Switch Lite console kits can be checked out by an adult patron and kept for one week, while games can be checked out by any cardholder and kept for a period of two weeks. The games are divided into categories based on the ESRB game ratings system, so cardholders will only be able to checkout those games that are age appropriate. How awesome is that?
