We are pleased to announce a new, convenient service for patrons and the public. Through the Shreve Memorial Library Academy, patrons are able to access free online tutorials for digital services offered by the library. Powered by the Niche Academy, the online tutorials are available anytime, anywhere.

“Our library has tons of great digital resources available, but people have to know how to use them,” stated John Tuggle, Shreve Memorial Library Executive Director. “By offering these online tutorials, we not only are able to educate our patrons on how to use the resources available, but also encourage them to use these resources more frequently.”

Courses offered through the Shreve Memorial Library Academy combine video and text to teach users the ins and outs of various platforms and digital resources. Online tutorials currently available include:

There are also tutorials available about social media platforms such as:

Shreve Memorial Library Academy online tutorials are accessed through the library’s website by clicking on the “Tutorials” button located on the right-hand side of the screen. From there, users are able to select the course they would like to complete.

“We are hoping that our patrons and the public will take advantage of this new service and become more familiar with the many resources that are available through Shreve Memorial Library,” stated E-Branch Manager Caleb Sheaffer. “We will be updating the website with new tutorials as they become available in the future.”
