This summer we are again partnering with the Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana to offer a Summer Feeding Program. This program provides free healthy lunches for children up to age 18 at our libraries as part of the Food Bank’s Summer Food Service Program.
The Summer Feeding Program will start on Monday, June 4 and end on Tuesday, July 31 at select branches of Shreve Memorial Library. A program of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), the Summer Food Service Program helps ensure children receive nutritious meals when school is not in session. The program is sponsored by the State of Louisiana and the Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana.
Beginning Monday, June 4, lunch will be provided at the following branches during these days and times:
All meals in this program will be provided free of charge by the Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana. The Summer Food Service Program will coincide with our Libraries Rock Summer Reading Program. Summer Reading Programs are open to all ages, individuals and groups.
