We are excited to be a part of the Shreveport-Bossier Mini Maker Faire, which takes place on Saturday, September 22 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Agricultural Building on the State Fairgrounds. The Mini Maker Faire will feature crafters, coders, makers, artists, and other tech enthusiasts. You can now apply to be a maker at the faire!
The event is organized as a collaborative effort by the North Louisiana STEM Alliance, Northwest Louisiana Makerspace, Caddo Parish Parks and Recreation, Shreve Memorial Library, Step Forward, Sci-Port, and more.
Whether you’re a crafter, coder or performer, the Shreveport-Bossier Mini Maker Faire works to empower all makers to participate in this fun hands-on event. Categories include engineering, arts, crafts, homesteading, science, young makers, and other. Booths can be for commercial use, workshop or performance-based or to simply show your stuff. Hands-on programming will be available for visitors at this free event.

The Shreveport-Bossier Mini Maker Faire is part of the national organization, Maker Faire®, a family-friendly showcase of creativity, invention, and resourcefulness. The original Maker Faire was held in San Mateo, Calif., in 2006. Since its creation, Maker Faires have emerged throughout the United States as well as Europe and Hong Kong.
