Strum holiday tunes on the ukulele during Holidays in Hawaii

Holidays in Hawaii - Ukulele Jam Session

Want to learn how to play ukulele? Come and try your hand at some easy holiday tunes during our Holidays in Hawaii program. Learn how to play a few chords and sing along during these fun interactive events.

We’ll have 10 ukuleles you can borrow, or you can bring your own. If you don’t want to play ukulele, you are welcome to come sing along or just watch and listen. This program is free and open to all ages.

If you want more practice playing ukulele, local group Ukulele Gumbo will host a Christmas Uke Jam on Tuesday, December 11 from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Broadmoor Branch, 1212 Captain Shreve Dr. The jam will start at 5 p.m., but there will be a lesson beforehand at 4 p.m. with Mike Broussard to cover basic chords. All are welcome to attend the event. You can find more information on the Facebook Event
