We are inviting coffee lovers to visit the library for programs that pair great books with a hot cup of coffee. Programs at the library pair coffee with demonstrations, book clubs, crafting and coloring. All programs are free and open to the public, and the coffee is on the house.
On Thursday, March 14, the Hamilton/South Caddo Branch will host a coffee demonstration with Lyons’ Pride Coffee. Owner of Lyons’ Pride Coffee, Peter Lyons, will lead a fun and educational demonstration covering the science behind brewing. Lyons’ Pride Coffee is a Shreveport coffee roaster specializing in quality specialty coffee and education. The demonstration will take place from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the reading room of the Hamilton/South Caddo Branch, located at 2111 Bert Kouns Industrial Loop. Coffee samples will be provided. RSVP to the Facebook Event.
Lovers of coffee and mystery are invited to join the Broadmoor Branch’s Grounds for Murder Book Club. The book club meets monthly combining coffee varieties with murder mystery books. The next meeting of the book club is Tuesday, March 19 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. or Wednesday, March 20 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. for those not able to make the Tuesday meeting.
