Lawyers will visit our branches to offer consultations during Lawyers in Libraries from October 21 to October 26. Lawyers in Libraries is annual event from the Louisiana Bar Association in which lawyers visit public libraries and offer free limited legal services. We have Ask-A-Lawyer events scheduled at our Broadmoor Branch and Main Branch during this time.
Our Broadmoor Branch will host an Ask-A-Lawyer session on Tuesday, October 22 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Attorney Angela Waltman will provide free individual consultations on legal issues starting at 1 p.m. This clinic will not address criminal cases. You can call the branch at 318-869-0120 for more details.
Our Main Branch will host three events during the Lawyers in Libraries program. We will have two Ask a Lawyer sessions, one on Tuesday, October 22 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and another on Thursday, October 24 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Call the branch at 318-226-5897 to sign up for a spot during these sessions. Criminal law questions will not be answered, only civil law will be discussed.
All of these programs are free and open to the public. Visit the website below for more information on Lawyers in Libraries.
