Shreve Memorial Library is now a “Grow with Google” partner, and the Hamilton/South Caddo Branch is hosting Grow with Google workshops in February and March. Grow with Google is a new digital literacy initiative aimed at helping libraries and other educational outlets provide free digital training for job seekers, businesses, educators, students and veterans. The free workshops are open to small business owners and individuals interested in learning more about free resources to grow their businesses and careers.
During the Grow with Google workshops, participants will learn new digital skills and tips on how to develop an online presence, enhance presentations and marketing, and use digital skills in everyday tasks. The workshops will cover topics such as using YouTube to grow and promote your business, managing your time and moving projects forward with the help of Google Docs and Google Sheets, and connecting with customers using Google My Business, Google Search and Maps. Students and professionals can also learn how to ace a presentation using Google Slides.
Each workshop lasts approximately two hours and includes instruction as well as hands-on application. All workshops will take place at the Hamilton/South Caddo Branch, located at 2111 Bert Kouns Industrial Loop, on the dates listed below. Seating is limited, and registration is required. The workshops are scheduled as follows:
