Shreve Memorial Library and IRS volunteers are offering free tax assistance to the public. This tax season, once again, Shreve Memorial Library Hamilton/South Caddo Branch will have IRS volunteers on hand to help the public file their taxes online and make sense of tax filing paperwork.
Each Monday through April 6, IRS volunteers will be available at the Hamilton/South Caddo Branch, 2111 Bert Kouns Industrial Loop, to assist patrons from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A special IRS Tax Assistance Super Saturday event will take place on Saturday, April 4 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. for those who are unable to attend on Monday evenings.
Trained volunteers will assist online filers with tax preparation free of charge. Volunteers will not complete tax returns, but rather help users navigate the online filing process. Those filing will need to bring all necessary documents including W-2 forms in order to file online.
Call the Hamilton/South Caddo Branch at 318-687-3824 for more information.
