The pandemic can’t keep Christmas from coming, nor Santa from visiting children throughout Caddo Parish. Although Santa will not be making in-person visits at the library this year, children and children-at-heart can expect a visit from Santa via the internet. Santa will make a virtual visit to Shreve Memorial Library via Zoom and do storytimes throughout the month of December on the library’s social media pages and website.
Meet Santa at 10:00 a.m. each Friday morning in December on Shreve Memorial Library’s Facebook page (www.facebook.com/shrevememorial) for Christmas holiday stories the entire family can enjoy. Storytimes will also be posted on the library’s website for those not able to make the Friday premieres on social media.
Then on Tuesday, December 15 at 6:00 p.m., join family and friends for a virtual visit from Santa, as he prepares a magical Christmas from the North Pole. Registration is required for the virtual Santa visit. Participants are encouraged to register at https://bit.ly/SMLSanta.
These programs are just another way Shreve Memorial Library is working to help make the holiday season bright. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and in keeping safe according to the CDC guidelines, Shreve Memorial Library is offering virtual programs.
