Shreve Memorial Library in partnership with Walter B. Jacobs Memorial Nature Park invites everyone to take a virtual walk in the park and appreciate nature. The library along with park officials will present “Saturday Morning Animal Adventures” the next four months via Zoom. The programs will take place on the last Saturday of each month at 10:30 a.m., starting on January 30. Registration is required.
Each month, Walter B. Jacobs Memorial Nature Park staff will invite adventurers to learn about new and different animals. On Saturday, January 30, Stacy Gray will share little known facts about owls as she presents “All about Owls.” Dillon Soderstrom will showcase “Awesome Alligators” on February 27, and Rusty Scarborough will discuss “Vultures: Nature’s Clean Up Crew” and how they play a major role in the ecosystem on March 27. In April, Hulya Onel will “Get the Dish on Crawfish” for the last Saturday Morning Animal Adventure on April 24.
All programs will take place via Zoom and will begin at 10:30 a.m. Participation in the “Saturday Morning Animal Adventures” is free and open to the public; however, registration is required to attend. To register for these interesting and exciting nature programs, go to https://bit.ly/SMLanimals.
