Lawyers in Libraries: Civil Legal Consultations with Justin Smith, Esq.

Attorney Justin Smith will provide free individual consultations on civil legal issues. Example topics include: Bankruptcy, Collection Matters, Custody, Divorce, Evictions, FEMA/Disaster Benefits, Food Stamps, Foreclosures, Housing, Medicaid, Social Security, SSI/SSDI, Successions, Taxes and Wills, and more. You do not need to sign up in advance. Consultations will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Presentations from other attorneys on topical legal issues will also be broadcast daily throughout the week via the “LSBA Louisiana Lawyers in Libraries” Facebook page. These programs are free and open to the public.

Shades of Hue Book Club: Nobody's Magic by Destiny O. Birdsong

This book club is for adult patrons. The group will meet on the last Saturday of each month and discuss selected books by authors of varying shades and hues. Join us this month to discuss Nobody’s Magic by Destiny O. Birdsong as part of our One Book One Parish celebration.

STEAM Along Saturday: Pinhole Camera

All ages are invited to join us every 3rd Saturday of the month for STEAM Along Saturday. Attendees will learn about various science, technology, engineering, art, and math concepts through hands-on activities in this monthly program. Join us to build a simple pinhole camera to explore how light, along with our eyes and brains, work together to produce images.

Magical Math

Children are invited to experience math as never before! Using stories, songs, and games children will enjoy math in a fun unique way! This program is for children ages 6-11. Details coming soon.
