"Seedy Adventure": Sunflower Planting Program for Children

Northside Elementary 3rd graders will listen to stories about gardening. Afterwards, children will go outside to plant the sunflowers. Children will also take home their very own sunflower to watch it grow. All materials will be provided.

DIY Bird Feeder for Earth Day

Join us for a fun and easy craft! In honor of Earth Day, we will be making simple bird feeders. All supplies are provided. Registration required.

Teen Time: Game Day!

Teens are invited to unwind and play a variety of card games and board games, etc. Ages 12-18.

Coffee Time

Come enjoy fellowship, a homemade treat, and coffee and check out a good book or magazine.

North Shreve Homeschool Program: Earth Day

Local homeschool students are invited to celebrate Earth Day while learning about mason bees and why they are so important, and constructing a mason bee house. Registration required. Call the North Shreveport Branch to sign up 647-8172.

Name the plant at the Library (in honor of Earth Day)

Come to the Oil City branch and examine our Poinsettia it has grown quite a bit over the years, we are letting our patrons come up with a name for it and on Thursday, April 27th the first name we draw out of the box wins!

Children's "Come Grow with us" Workshop

Have you ever wanted to grow your own flowers? Well here is your chance! Join us as we plant various seeds that you are able to take home and watch grown before your very eyes. You also learn how to maintain your flowers to ensure healthy growth. Hope to see you there!
