Genealogy: Civil War Defenses of Shreveport

This month's program will cover how Shreveport prepared for the possibility of Union attack during the Red River Campaign of 1864. We will show where the forts and batteries were located around the city, and the soldiers who manned them.

Whippersnapper Wednesday: Little Bits Kits

Children (5 - 11 years old) will use science, engineering and problem solving skills to create carious projects with our Little Bits Kits. *Children under 10 must have a responsible person present in programs*

Preschool Storytime: Bats at the Library

"Storytime is just the thing / to rest a play-exhausted wing," so join us as we celebrate Brian Lies' classic "Bats at the Library" with stories, songs, rhymes, and a craft. Don't forget to see Brian Lie and many other authors in person at the Children's Book Festival on May 6!
